DIRTY PAIR and Major Kusanagi

My old miniseries DIRTY PAIR: FATAL BUT NOT SERIOUS was once serialized in the UK Magazine MANGA MANIA, at the same time as Shirow Masamune's first GHOST IN THE SHELL was likewise running... Here's a scan of my (printed) cover commemorating both appearances.

Color guide by my friend Joe Rosas, from back in those halcyon, long-forgotten days of yore when marker-based color guides still roamed the earth (circa the mid 90s). Final colors were done in-house at MANGA MANIA, as far as I know.

A blast from the past, from when I still drew actual noses (sorta) on my female characters! This was considerably easier for the colorist to handle than my current, "minimal nasal indication" preference. Oh, well. Time marches on, yo.
