As I've frequently noted on previous posts, next week sees the release of Empowered vol. 6, the latest installment in my ongoing "sexy superhero comedy" series published by Dark Horse Comics.
In a flailing attempt to help promote the book, I'm about to draw up an "interview with Empowered" story for Dark Horse's website. Like the one I did a few years ago, which wound up being reprinted in Empowered vol. 4...
...this would be a very "meta" affair, in which our plucky heroine answers questions directly from the (unseen) audience. While I'm slated to receive a list o' questions from Dark Horse, I thought I'd throw it out to you, the Empowered readership, as well: Got a question for Empowered herself to answer? I can't guarantee that she'll be able to reply to very many of 'em—space is rather limited, I'm afraid—but she'll try her best, as always.
Side note: Don't bother asking about the whole "camel-toe" issue, as she can't answer that one, alas.
And now, the floggery: Empowered vol. 6 hits the shelves on Sept. 15, 2010. The book can be preordered at your Local Comics Retailer or bookstore, or online at Dark Horse's retail website www.tfaw.com/Profile/Empowered… or on Amazon.com www.amazon.com/Empowered-6-Ada… . Note that links for ordering the previous five books (and the "floppy" comics-format one-shot, "The Wench with a Million Sighs,") can also be found at those sites... Hint, hint.
Here's the book's back-cover copy:
After a fiery disaster claims the lives of several teammates, costumed crimefighter “Empowered” stumbles upon an ugly little secret of the masks-and-tights business: a growing number of ill-fated superheroes have found out the hard way that, while their bodies are still mortal, their superpowers are not... Now, only our downtrodden but doggedly determined heroine can rescue the (semi-)living superdead from a quite genuine “fate worse than death,” while simultaneously grappling with the challenges of phallospear harassment, car-trunk carpetburn, superhero fantasy leagues, excessive bedroom chatter, and deals with the devil both figurative and literal! All this, plus Empowered’s not-so-secret origin is revealed at last!
You can check out a 10-page preview from the book here: www.comicsalliance.com/2010/09… A bazillion more images, illos and comics pages from Empowered can be found in this gallery folder: adamwarren.deviantart.com/gall…

See you at Baltimore Comic-Con, October 18-20!
Once again, I'm headed down to Maryland this weekend for Baltimore Comic-Con, my final convention of the year. Had a great time at the show in 2018, so a repeat visit seemed like a fine way to wrap up 2019's con season.
I'll be set up at the Hero Initiative booth (#2205) for all three days of the convention, raising some bucks for that fine charity (which helps comics creators in need) while attending to all your signing and sketching (and commissioning?) needs. I'll also bring along a fair bit of original artwork, plus some recently unearthed copies of older works, and maybe a copy or two of Empowered vol.11. Drop by and say hi if you're at
See you at Heroes Con, June 14-16!
Once again, I'll be journeying to Heroes Con in Charlotte this weekend (I do love that show), where I'll be set up at Artist Alley table AA-1817 for all your signing, sketching, commissioning and/or original-art-buying needs! (Plus I'll have a bunch of comics on sale, including a batch of recently unearthed Dirty Pair: Sim Hell and Bubblegum Crisis: Grand Mal issues.) Drop by and say hi, won't you?
Seee you at Phoenix Fan Fusion, May 23-26!
Courtesy of the fine folks at the Hero Initiative charity, I'll be flying out to attend the Phoenix Fan Fusion show this weekend. Never been to Arizona in my whole goshdarned life, so this should be a novel experience! I'll be set up at the Hero Initiative booth (#396) for all your signing and sketching needs; donations to Hero, which supports comics creators in need, would be much appreciated. If you happen to be attending, drop on by and say hi, won't you?
See you at Emerald City Comic-Con, March 14-17!
Once again, I'll be tabling in Artist Alley at the ol' Emerald City Comic-Con, March 14-17. I'll be set up at table Y-7 all convention long for all your signing, sketching, and original-art-perusing needs, along with a fair amount of Empowered backstock in case you're missing any volumes or "floppy" issues. (Might even be bringing some old Dirty Pair issues and Bubblegum Crisis: Grand Mal posters, if you're feeling nostalgic.)
Thursday, March 14, I'm on the Dark Horse panel "Artists Who Write: The Craft and Creation of Comics," from 12:15pm-1:15pm in room TCC L3-R3. Then, later in the day, I'll be signing at the Dark Horse Comics booth (#220
