The only image I could find for the alt cover I drew for UDON's STREET FIGHTER comic... Pencils by me, colors (applied directly over the pencil layer) by the great Arnold Tsang. Similarly, I did script and pencils for the four-page "Cammy v. Chun Li" story in that same issue (#2).

I'll post the four different roughs for the cover over in the "scraps" section (dial-up willing, that is). Judge for yourself if Capcom chose the right one to use for the final cover... (Personally, I think they made the right choice.)

Having Chun Li and Cammy front and center is a lot better than, say, Dhalsim or E. Honda. I mostly played as Chun Li, sometimes as Cammy. I was never able to do better than four rounds because I couldn't get the hang of all the joystick/button combos (same deal with Mortal Kombat). Back in my day, all you needed was a joystick and a couple of buttons--and a roll of quarters.
