A commissioned sketch of the DIRTY PAIR's Kei, seen here in an alternate DP costume that I used in a number of older sketches. This outfit, the "hotpants with garter belt and opera gloves (and short jacket, not seen here)" look, has never officially appeared "in continuity," save for a sketch repro'd in an issue of the DIRTY PAIR: SIM HELL REMASTERED miniseries.
Arguably the most remarkable part of the "hotpants" costume is the fact that, as you can see, it features Kei with her hair tied back in a braid... Kinda different. (Never fear: if/when the DP return, they'll be wearing some version of the black-and-chrome outfits from START THE VIOLENCE and RUN FROM THE FUTURE... And Kei will have her modern "dandelion hair" look, of course, as that's a personal favorite.) Her left leg seems a tad skinny to me, though that's quite accurate to the photoref... Hmm. |
