Here's the inked version of the illo I did for
's Marvel Vs. Capcom: Complete Works
book, which recently (and successfully!) debuted at San Diego Comic-Con. More info on the book here: [link]
The characters are Marvel's Shuma-Gorath, X-23, and (sigh) MODOK*, facing off with Capcom's Tron Bonne, Arthur, and Viewtiful Joe.

Note that many of the special effects indicated in the rough, such as motion streaks off the blades' (and lance's) highlights and the sparks spraying from Arthur's helmet, were left out of the inks and reserved for the coloring stage. Previously, I used to indicate most such FX directly in the inks, but now I (occasionally) try to leave more room for the color artist to work his or her artistry.* I'm not a big fan of ol' MODOK, but he was, I felt, the only Marvel character easily identifiable at such a long distance from the camera.
