Behold, the second of a series of commissions (three, to be precise) I took on back in 2001, with a rather imaginative hook: I was supposed to be drawing Vargas-esque pin-up art for various Imperial units from STAR WARS, featuring an assortment of hawt chicas from OTHER fictional worlds as the pin-up subjects in question. The previous iteration in this series was "Miss Death Star Gunner" [link] featuring Gabrielle from my 1997 TITANS: SCISSORS, PAPER, STONE one-shot for DC.
This time around, here's statuesque superheroine Caitlin Fairchild from Wildstorm/DC's superteam comic GEN13, for which I wrote and drew intermittently from 1997 to 2001. (Alas, I've never been allowed near the book since the cancellation of the original title, save for a variant cover you can see here: [link] ) To belabor the exceedingly obvious, she's depicted as pin-up girl for the Empire's TIE fighter units. (More specifically, the TIE Interceptor and TIE Bomber units, it would seem.) The sketch is wheezingly old, and uses a facial-design architecture that I no longer prefer (and, damn, Caitlin's rather notably more racktastic, here, than the chicas I draw nowadays)... but still, I thought the concept of the piece was amusing enough to post it anyhoo. Next up: Miss Death Star Detention Guard! |

Stars for the sky; flowers for the earth; and love for human beings, no one can live alone. People must be willing to fight to protect the ones they love and it is for that reason that human beings are more beautiful than any flower or star.
I don't understand the meaning behind the facial structure preference comment, I am sorry.
Please, keep up the great work.
