Behold, the last videogame-related humor piece I did for Official Playstation Magazine (formerly PSM); a deadline crunch on EMPOWERED vol. 3 forced the feature to be discontinued for the time being. In theory, the strip could conceivably return to the magazine in the future, if'n we could think of a new "hook" or novel approach to take with it... (So far, I got nothin'.)
Anyhoo, this strip in particular speculates about possible changes and improvements that might be made to FINAL FANTASY VII when it's re-released for the PSP... Woo, hoo. Had to dig up one of my old FFVII strategy guides (the cool, unofficial one with the neat poster, from those bygone days when unauthorized guidebooks were still printed) for reference, here; amazingly, I'd managed to repress my memories of the game's bizarre "crossdressing Cloud" missions until I reread the strategy book... |
