Previously on the epic series "EMPOWERED vol. 3: The Cover Experience," I sleazed up a revised rough...
[link] ...after deciding not to go with a previous rough... [link] ...then went on to the finished (if somewhat light) pencils... [link] ...and lo, I applied inkwork to the cover, with the above results. Have to say, it's my favorite EMP cover so far; I was kinda "ehh" about EMP 1's cover illo, and really didn't care much for the results on EMP 2's cover, but this one's an improvement on the previous two, IMHO. Now, on to the color guide... and, in a few days (knock on wood), Photoshopped colors by DA's own Ryan Kinnaird, who's missing out on San Diego this year (as am I) and hence can get some work done this week. |
