Sometimes, a sock monkey is just a sock monkey. No, really.
Another chapter-break illo from the upcoming (September '07) second volume of EMPOWERED, my "sexy superhero comedy" book published by Dark Horse Comics. Note that my scrawled lettering at the top of the page will be replaced by finished logo and type on the printed version.
This one features an aggressively surreal Thugboy nightmare sequence... You can see a page from it at:

In the course of the story, the reader starts getting hints that Thugboy's past is rather more complicated than he's let on... Plus, a somewhat degrading appearance by the fiery/ horny supervillain, "Willy Pete"! Plus, Thugboy's naked (though he doesn't seem to actually notice this) through the entire nightmare... Woo, hoo!
Gun nuts: Note that I didn't draw the correct number of vent holes on the Barrett M82A1, which has proven remarkably difficult to draw. Oh, well.
