Here's an illo that I drew (and lettered!) for the header of the letters column in DIRTY PAIR: SIM HELL, if I recall correctly. It's a very old piece, but I kinda like it anyway... This despite the fact that the illo features what I now call a "one-eyed monster" shot of Yuri's face. Inexplicably, in the early 90s I would often cover up a character's far eye with their hair (in a three-quarters view of the face, as seen here), then proceed to misplace the eye that you COULD see too close to the center of the head. I haven't the slightest idea why the heck I was taking this lazy and unattractive shortcut, back then; but then again, the early 90s were a strange time, after all.

The lettercol's title was a very clever suggestion from a reader, referring of course to the infamous Bikini Atoll, site of nuclear-weapon tests aplenty during the 40s and 50s (and the source for the two-piece swimsuit's nickname, natch).
