An illo I did for Brian Michael Bendis's great crime comic JINX, ten years ago (ouch). Back in the day, I was a heeeyuge fan of BMB's earlier book, AKA GOLDFISH, and was more than happy to contribute a pin-up in the back of the successor title JINX.
In fact, back then I was doing freelance illos for SPIN magazine, and upon Brian's canny suggestion, sent in JINX and GOLDFISH samples for coverage in SPIN's comics column. You can read all about what happened next in "FORTUNE AND GLORY: A true Hollywood comic book story", BMB's highly entertaining (and highly recommended) account of his (early) experiences in Hollywood!
This is a grayscale scan from a photocopy, so the image quality's a tad lacking... Also, the repro size may cause an unfortunate moire effect on the tones. Oh, well.
Drawn from photoreference, in case you can't tell, of the same leather jacket that's appeared elsewhere in the gallery.
nice one there ...this may sound pretty damn corny but im a long time fan o yours and so im pretty dang happy i found you o this here DA site....well uh great picture an all that good stuff
interesting how the jacket looks real, but her face and body look animated...

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
